Submit your recent publication to compete for the award of 1000 EUR!

Internal competition for the best paper in AIC published by students is back. After the successful first edition in 2021, we continue this tradition to put young researchers in the spotlight and motivate them to improve their presentation skills. Are you one of them? Submit your research paper published from 1/2023 to 6/2024 on which you are listed as the first author. The committee will evaluate the papers after you give a talk about it and award the best researcher with 1 000 EUR. See the details below and good luck!

Guidelines

All Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. students working in AIC are eligible to compete with their paper published from 1/2023 to 6/2024. They must be listed as first authors. The final thesis cannot be submitted in this competition. Should you have any questions regarding the rules, do not hesitate to ask.

All papers submitted according to the rules will be evaluated by the committee composed of AIC senior researchers. The criteria for the evaluation are novelty and significance, technical quality, and also the presentation that has to be given by the author. 

The winner of the best paper will be awarded 1 000 EUR. The prize money will be paid in CZK as a stipend.

Application

Submit your application tomas.kroupa@fel.cvut.cz with the PDF of the paper and a link to a depository. Further information can be provided about the paper’s previous success, such as acceptance to conferences or received awards. Use the e-mail subject: AIC 2024 Student Paper Award - application.

All competitors are required to do a live presentation of the paper (20minute talk, 10 min Q&A). If you cannot make it to uni on the presentation days, you can submit a recorded talk or join via Zoom (ask about this possibility to have this possibility confirmed by the organizers). However, live presentation is the preferred option to showcase you skills and fairly compare to other students.
