Meet the winner of the AIC 2020 Student Paper Award and explore the AI research of all our bright young talents who made it to the finals!
Our team has some of the brightest young talents in artificial intelligence who are already publishing high-quality research papers. To support healthy competitive environment and push students to improve their presentation skills, we decided to start organizing an internal competition to evaluate works published by students as first author in the previous year. The first edition of the competition titled AIC 2020 Student Paper Award proved to be an amazing platform to showcase what our young researchers are capable of. We were blown away by the research quality and want to share the results with you as well. All the presentations were recorded and published in this YouTube channel.
The BEST STUDENT PAPER award in the PHD CATEGORY went to Jaromír Janisch. The jury was impressed by his excellent research work, stunning presentation and ability to argue for the research's impact. His paper Classifcation With Costly Features as a Sequential Decision‐Making Problem brought him 1 000 EUR. Go ahead and watch the full presentation!
Since it was the first year of the competition, we decided along the way to establish an extra category and award one other student with symbolic prize of 100 EUR. The VEST PAPER AWARD in the UNDERGRADUATE CATEGORY was given to Kristýna Kučerová for her paper titled Finding Time-efficient Trajectories for Dubins Vehicle. The jury valued her impressive and very enthusiastic presentation of solid research work that is highly advanced for undergraduate level. See for yourself!
