What does the future of journalism look like with the introduction of artificial intelligence? Automatic generation of reports, verification of facts, search for articles confirming or refuting claims. These and other topics are explored by our researchers in the new TAČR project.
The primary objective of the research is the emergence of AI system that will generate texts for further intelligence use. The goal is to develop such tool that will be able to verify information and create the context of journalistic news. We will explore the tool in the news rooms and compare, with what speed and accuracy, the artificial intelligence creates the texts, and verifies and assesses its impact on journalistic work in the future. This project "Transformation of Ethical Aspects With the Advent of Artificial Intelligence Journalism" has been funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) that supports research, experimental development, and innovation. For the research we partnered with with Charles University (represented by Václav Moravec as the PI), the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and a number of application partners such as ČTK (Czech News Agency), Czech Television and Newton Media.
