The Department of Computers FEE CTU is looking for a Science Communication Specialist (0.5 FTE) to turn AI, robotics, and cybersecurity research into high-impact stories. Based in the heart of Prague, you’ll lead social media, manage media relations, and support event programming for an international team. Are you interested in artificial intelligence, robotics, or cybersecurity, and can you tell stories about them? At the Department of Computers at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, we are looking for someone who can present our technologies in the form of digestible stories, both for the general public and for professional colleagues, as part of networking and our presentations.
We are looking for a creative partner for our researchers. You will be in charge of strategic science communication: from writing articles about future technologies to building relationships with journalists to creating content that has a real impact. What the job entails
- Content management (website and social media management – content creation, possibility to set up a new social media account, ability to photograph/film content welcome).
- PR support for research projects (promotion through the media and our own channels, ordering promotional items, assistance with text creation and editing).
- Preparing an interesting event program in collaboration with a colleague.
- Media outreach in collaboration with faculty PR (creating press releases, arranging interviews, supporting researchers).
- Evaluating PR activities (annual report).
- Supporting the HR manager in promoting job positions.
Requirements
- University or high school education.
- Experience with PR/content management (from a communications department, editorial office, advertising agency, etc.) or education in the field of communications.
- Interest in technological innovations (knowledge of the academic or research environment is not required).
- Czech (native) and English (we are an international team and communicate externally in both Czech and English).
- Empathy (working in PR with researchers is mainly about active listening).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, willingness to learn new things and develop in the field of project management.
We offer
- Part-time position (0.5 FTE) with the possibility of increasing hours.

- Stable employment, fixed-term employment contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension, possibility of occasional work from home.

- Attractive starting salary of CZK 25,000 - 30,000 (corresponding to 0.5 FTE) depending on qualifications and previous work experience, with the prospect of an increase after training + bonus 13th and 14th salaries depending on the department's financial performance and quality of work.
- Workplace with good transport links in the center – Prague 2 – metro station B – Karlovo náměstí.
- Start date: April 20, 2026, or as agreed.
